First month

I had to cross half of the planet and leave the most important things in my life, my family and friends to come here and live my dream.

Today it's been a month since my arrival to Italy. The best and the hardest month of my life. A month where I've achieved most of my dreams and goals (even the ones I didn't knew I had until now), but also faced most of my deepest fears.

I've learned more of my self in this month away from home that what I have in my whole life, I've faced situations I never thought my self capable of overcoming.I have been able to see what's important in life and what's not any more, I've changed my way of seeing things.

I've never been more proud of being Mexican, than now. I have learned to appreciate little things of my culture I didn't used to notice. And I have also meet some of the nicest people alive and most importantly I have learned that you're never alone, because God will guide you.

Things like this don't happen.

Over this couple of days

This vacations I have been traveling all over México, saying goodbye to my family and friends, trying to make my self understand that I am not coming back for a year, that I will be a stranger living in another country, speaking another language, with people I don't know. this has been my long life dream, i have fought for it all my life.

If somebody would have told me six years ago that I was going to live in Italy, I wouldn't have believed it, because coming from where I come from and after all that I lived, things like this don't happen.

Six years ago my parents where splitting up, I lived in a completley different city, with no money and  I was trying to understand that in a couple of days I was going to leave everything I knew, friends, family, dog, house, school, my dad... everything, to experience one of the most hard and life-changing moments of my whole excistence. I didn't knew that after that, my life was never going to be the same, not even me.
I learned to live without a father at home, we where just (my mom, my sister and me) alone against whatever was that we where about to face. And in that moment I just couldn't notice that probably something good could ever come from this.

I had a dream and having one in my situation was pretty hard. I wanted to study abroad, I wanted to travel, to learn another language, to expand my horizons, to get out of my comfort zone. But some times dreaming is very hard and for those who give up easily, who listen to unsuccessful people when they tell them that dreams don't come true, who don't fight long enough and when they fall many times they are tired of getting up again and again so they decide to give up, those who follow the limits of their comfort zones when not even the grass follows the limits humans puts to it. To that kind of people I do not recommend it.

Because dreaming requires people who truly believe in their dreams, who are willing to fight all the way for them, who don't mind getting up again and again no matter how many times they fall and how tired they are, who don't listen to anyone that tells them that dreams don't come true, those who get out of their comfort zones, for those focused enough to keep the eyes on the target no matter what happens around them.

So i decided to fight for my dream. I entered, contests, exams anything that could give me a scholarship to study abroad. And nothing worked for six years. Of course  there where moments when I needed someone to tell me that all of this fighting was worth it, that I shouldn't give up. And today I can tell you that DREAMS DO COME TRUE, everything is worth it, when you feel like giving up DON'T, because your dream WILL come true. And yes there are people who are going to tell you that you are wrong for not giving up, but they are wrong.
